Other portals use different limits entirely. Your photo will be used across multiple applications and could stay in your file for years. A few things worth thinking about ahead of time:

• Get a haircut or trim 5–7 days before your session- not the day before.
• Keep makeup natural and professional. The goal is a polished version of your everyday look, not a departure from it.
• Men: decide whether you want to be clean-shaven or maintain a neat beard. Either reads as professional; just be intentional about it.
• Bring a lint roller, a small mirror, and any grooming basics you might need for touch-ups right before we shoot.

What Happens During Your Session

I keep headshot sessions efficient and low-pressure. Most run 20–30 minutes for a single subject. Here’s what to expect when you come to my New Milford, NJ studio:

1. We start with a quick conversation about your programs and any specific upload requirements you’ve been given.
2. I’ll position you against the appropriate background and dial in the lighting.
3. We shoot tethered- you can see yourself on-screen in real time. If something isn’t working- posture, expression, wardrobe- we adjust it on the spot.
4. We capture multiple expressions and slight angle variations so you have genuine options, not just one usable frame.
5. The whole thing is relaxed. Most people are nervous walking in. By ten minutes in, that usually goes away on its own.

How Your Photos Are Delivered

After your session, I’ll send you a private online gallery, typically within 48–72 hours. You’ll review every image, choose your favorites, and download your finished files directly- no back-and-forth required.

Final retouched images are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs within 3–5 business days of your selection. Portal-sized versions are included, already formatted to common upload limits, so you can submit without any extra editing on your end. And if you want to record a short vertical intro clip for LinkedIn or an interview portal during the same visit, I offer a simple video add-on- same session, no second trip.

Retouching: Natural Only

Every image I deliver is retouched- but always naturally. That means:

• Smoothing uneven skin tone and temporary blemishes
• Reducing shine
• Lightening under-eye shadows slightly if needed
• Sharpening the eyes
