I’m Alex Kaplan, a Headshot Photographer and videographer based in New Milford, NJ, serving Northern.

The moment I stepped through the door marked “Suite 1715,” I knew this was going to be special.
Canopy Dentistry’s Midtown Manhattan office isn’t your typical dental practice. The warm wood tones, the white marble reception desk catching the light just right, the carefully curated artwork—every detail was designed with intention. And it shows.
This wasn’t just another branding shoot. This was documenting the intersection of healthcare excellence and contemporary design.

Working throughout the New York and New Jersey area, I’ve photographed dozens of medical and dental practices. What makes the great ones stand out isn’t just the equipment or the space—it’s the story you can feel the moment you walk in.
That’s what we set out to capture here: not just beautiful rooms, but the warmth, professionalism, and patient-centered philosophy that defines this practice.

The Mission
Dr. Erica A. Omoyeni and her team at Canopy Dentistry have a mission that’s refreshingly simple: restore health, dignity, and confidence—one smile at a time.
They believe exceptional oral care should be accessible, comforting, and deeply human. When they serve well, they don’t just improve dental health—they improve lives.

What Makes Them Different
You feel it the moment you walk in.
Grace and kindness aren’t just buzzwords here—they’re the air the team breathes. Whether you’re a first-time patient, a longtime client, or a vendor stopping by, you’re treated with genuine care.
The team doesn’t just show up—they lean in. Even when something falls outside their usual role, they take initiative. That kind of accountability isn’t common, and it shows in everything from how they greet patients to how they collaborate during a photo shoot.

This practice isn’t chasing quick fixes. They’re building long-term trust—listening before leading, supporting before suggesting, making sure every person feels valued.
Yes, they use advanced technology (you’ll see the imaging systems later). But they never let technology replace human connection. That balance is rare.

Services & Expertise
Canopy Dental specializes in advanced implant dentistry and periodontal care:
• All-on-X full-arch replacements (often completed same-day)
• Overdentures that snap onto implants for stability and comfort
• Individual dental implants with custom crowns
Dr. Erica A. Omoyeni, D.M.D., M.S.D., is a board-certified Periodontist & Implant Specialist who brings both advanced expertise and a genuinely warm chairside manner to every procedure.

The Complete Patient Journey
We photographed every touchpoint—from the entrance to the final treatment room.
The warm wood-toned reception desk with that white marble countertop? Gorgeous. The way natural light hits the waiting area? Perfect for photography. The modern seating and carefully chosen artwork? It all creates an atmosphere that feels more boutique hotel than traditional dental office.
This is what happens when design meets intention.

Treatment Rooms & Technology
Here’s where things get really interesting.
The treatment rooms are bright, clean, and beautifully organized. Modern ergonomic dental chairs in calming blue. Advanced Vatech imaging systems. Large windows with natural light and Manhattan views.
But what struck me most? The space doesn’t feel clinical. It feels welcoming. That’s intentional design—and it makes all the difference for anxious patients.

The Vatech imaging system deserves special mention. This isn’t your standard dental equipment—it’s advanced 3D imaging technology housed in a dedicated alcove with proper workspace setup.
Photographing medical technology requires attention to cleanliness, angles, and lighting. These shots needed to showcase both the sophistication of the equipment and the accessibility of the space.

Video: Introducing Dr. Pastagia
We filmed Dr. Omoyeni talking about her approach to patient care—not scripted, just genuine.
This kind of video content helps potential patients connect with her expertise and warmth before they even pick up the phone to book. It’s one of the most powerful tools a practice can have.
Team Culture & Behind the Scenes
One of my favorite parts of any branding session is capturing the team.
The Canopy staff was warm, relaxed, and professional—they made this one of the smoothest shoots I’ve done all year. That energy comes through in the photos, and it’s exactly what potential patients want to see.
The Details That Matter
Design is in the details.
The textured wood panels. The sleek black pendant lighting. The frosted glass sliding barn doors. The accent wall colors that shift subtly from room to room.
These detail shots are perfect for social media, website galleries, and marketing materials. They show potential patients that this practice thinks about everything—right down to the smallest touch.

First Impressions Happen Online
Here’s the reality: potential patients are already making decisions about you before they pick up the phone.
Professional photography and video create that crucial first impression. They show you’re invested in your practice and care about every detail of the patient experience.
Visuals Convert Visitors to Patients
High-quality visuals don’t just make your website look better—they convert.
When people can see your clean, modern treatment rooms, meet your friendly staff through photos, and understand your approach through video, they’re far more likely to book that first appointment. Visual transparency reduces anxiety and builds confidence.
SEO & Online Visibility
Original photos and videos boost your search rankings.
Search engines favor websites with unique, high-quality visual content. Video in particular increases time-on-site metrics and improves your rankings for local searches—critical for attracting new patients in your area.
Content That Lasts
Professional branding content provides months (or years) of marketing material.
Behind-the-scenes photos, office tour videos, staff spotlights, treatment room shots—all of this gives you authentic content that resonates with your community and keeps your practice top-of-mind.
