I’m Alex Kaplan, a Headshot Photographer and videographer based in New Milford, NJ, serving Northern.
I’ve photographed a lot of corporate events over the years throughout New Jersey and the NYC area. Ribbon cuttings, holiday parties, conferences—you name it. But there’s something special about a brand launch. It’s not just another event on the calendar. It’s a company saying, “This is who we are, and we’re proud of it.”
Recently, I had the privilege of documenting the OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners brand launch at their office in Parsippany, New Jersey, and honestly? It was one of those events where you could feel the energy the moment you walked in.
Here’s a short highlight video from the morning’s brand-launch celebration — see the atmosphere, lighting, and people come alive.

I arrived early at their office on Kimball Drive in Parsippany to scout the space and get some establishing shots before guests arrived. As a corporate event photographer serving businesses throughout Morris County, Northern New Jersey, and the New York metro area, I’ve learned that the prep work before guests arrive is just as important as the event itself.
The OnePoint team had transformed their office into something special. The coral and teal color scheme—their new brand colors—were everywhere. Balloon installations framed the reception desk. The lighting was perfect. And that new logo on the backsplash? Clean, modern, exactly what you want to see in a rebrand.
As a photographer, I’m always looking for those details that tell the story. The branded gift bags lined up perfectly. The champagne station ready to go. The “ONEPOINT” letters taking center stage. These aren’t just decorative elements—they’re visual anchors that communicate what this event is all about.
Before we dive into the event coverage, let me give you some context about the company I was photographing.
OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners is a financial advisory firm that’s been growing steadily over the years. They specialize in wealth management, helping individuals and families navigate retirement planning, investment strategies, and estate planning. From what I gathered talking to team members throughout the morning, they’ve built their reputation on personalized service and clear communication.

The rebrand represents their evolution. The name “OnePoint” reflects their philosophy of bringing clarity and focus to complex financial decisions. That sun icon in their logo? It symbolizes illumination—bringing light to their clients’ financial paths. It’s thoughtful branding, and you could see how much it meant to the team.

One thing I always tell my corporate clients: the details matter. And the OnePoint team got this right. Those gift bags weren’t an afterthought—they were carefully curated with branded items and wrapped in the company colors. The tissue paper coordinated. The presentation was thoughtful.
As a photographer, these details give me great content to work with. But more importantly, they show guests that you care. That attention to detail extends beyond the event itself—it says something about how the company operates.

The beverage station was set up beautifully. Champagne on ice, fresh juices in glass carafes, elegant glassware. For a morning event, they struck the right balance—celebratory without being over the top.
From a photography standpoint, this setup gave me excellent still life shots. But it also created a natural gathering point for guests, which meant candid moments of people toasting, laughing, and connecting. That’s where the real magic happens in event photography.

This is when an event photographer earns their fee. As the room started filling up, I went into what I call “active observation mode.” I’m looking for genuine interactions, emotional moments, group dynamics, individual portraits of key people, wide shots that capture the atmosphere, and detail shots that tell the story.
The modern office space with its glass walls and exposed brick gave me great natural elements to work with. The lighting was a mix of natural and architectural—perfect for creating depth in the images.

When the leadership team began speaking, I positioned myself to capture both the speakers and the audience reactions. Good event photography isn’t just about the person at the microphone—it’s about showing the connection between speaker and audience.
The OnePoint leaders spoke with genuine emotion about what the rebrand meant. You could see it in their body language, hear it in their voices. My job was to capture that authenticity.

Between the formal moments, I was constantly moving through the space, looking for those in-between moments. A senior advisor in deep conversation with colleagues. The thoughtful expression as someone listened to the company vision. These unscripted moments often end up being the most meaningful images.

The official unveiling of the new logo and brand identity was a highlight. Everyone gathered around the reception desk, eyes on the backsplash that now prominently featured the OnePoint logo. I made sure to capture the reveal moment itself, people’s reactions, wide shots showing the full team gathered together, and detail shots of the new branding elements.
These are the images that will end up on their website, in their marketing materials, and in their company history documentation. No pressure, right?

Here’s something I’ve learned after years of corporate event photography: people can tell when a photo feels forced. Sure, I do some posed group shots—clients need those—but the images that really resonate are the authentic ones.
Throughout the morning, I captured team members interacting naturally. The genuine smiles. The casual conversations. The moments of pride and celebration. These photos tell the real story of the event.

One thing that stood out to me: the mix of generations at this firm. Experienced advisors with decades in the industry standing alongside younger team members bringing fresh perspectives. That diversity creates visual interest in photographs, but more importantly, it tells a story about the company’s culture and approach.
I made sure to capture this dynamic throughout the morning—veterans and newcomers connecting, sharing ideas, celebrating together. It’s a powerful message about mentorship and growth.

Some of my favorite shots from the event weren’t the big planned moments—they were the quiet interactions happening throughout the space. Two colleagues deep in conversation near the brick wall. A client laughing with their advisor. Team members making introductions.
These candid moments require a photographer to be constantly aware, anticipating where meaningful interactions might happen, and being ready to capture them without being intrusive.

Throughout the morning, I worked to capture the various groups that make up the OnePoint team. Leadership teams. Department groups. Partner clusters. Each grouping tells part of the larger story.
The key is making these feel natural rather than staged. I’ll often catch groups when they’re already together, maybe suggest they move slightly for better light, but keep the interaction authentic.

The toast was a perfect moment for both detail shots and wider celebration captures. The champagne bottles, the raised glasses, the faces of people celebrating together—all of these elements combine to tell the story of a company marking an important milestone.

While I love capturing intimate moments and portraits, wide shots are essential for event photography. They show the scale of the event, the space itself, and how all the elements come together.
These environmental shots give context to all the closer images. They show the modern office space, the brand elements throughout, and the overall atmosphere of the celebration.

Throughout the event, I made sure to get quality shots of key individuals. Not just posed headshots, but images that capture personality and presence. The senior advisor caught in a genuine moment of reflection. The partners mid-conversation. The team members showing pride in what they’ve built.
These individual portraits are valuable for future marketing materials, team pages, and professional profiles.

Every corporate event needs those classic team photos. While I prefer natural moments, these composed group shots serve an important purpose. They’re professional, polished, and perfect for annual reports, websites, and marketing collateral.
The trick is getting everyone positioned, getting good light, and still keeping it from feeling too stiff or formal.

As I was packing up my gear at the end of the morning, I thought about why events like this are so important to document properly. These photos will live on the company website for years, be shared across social media platforms, appear in email newsletters and marketing materials, be used in recruitment efforts to show company culture, document an important milestone in the company’s history, and give team members shareable content they’re proud to post.
An investment in professional photography returns value for years. These aren’t just pictures—they’re brand assets that continue working for your business long after the event ends. That’s the power of quality event documentation.

After the event, I spent several hours culling and editing the final gallery. Out of hundreds of shots taken throughout the morning, I delivered a curated collection that told the complete story of the brand launch.
Color correction, exposure adjustments, minor retouching—all the technical work that turns good event photos into great ones. The goal is always to deliver images that look polished and professional while maintaining the authentic feel of the event.
From a photographer’s perspective, here’s what OnePoint did right:
They planned the details. The space looked great, the branding was cohesive, and everything was ready before guests arrived.
They considered lighting. The modern office with its natural light and architectural lighting made my job easier and resulted in better photos.
They created photo opportunities. The branded backdrop, the reception desk, the gift bag display—these gave me excellent content to work with.
They let moments happen naturally. While there was structure to the event, there was also room for organic interactions and genuine celebration.
They hired a professional photographer. Professional photography ensures you have high-quality documentation of your important moments that serve your business for years to come.
